On August 28, 2017, Al Watania for industries (WFI) has conducted a review session on Integrated Management System (IMS) implementation roadmap. The top management of WFI including Group CEO, VPs, department Directors and Managers participated in the session. The WFI’s Group CEO, Eng. Ibrahim Behairi, highlighted the important and listed the benefits of IMS to WFI. Corporate EHS Manager Mr. Mahaboobulla H. Shariff, spoke about the IMS Implementation journey stages and the status of readiness for IMS certification to WFI. It is important to mention that the Integrated Management Systems comprises three Systems: those are ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (BS OHSMS 18001). From January 15th to May 25th 2017, three levels of training has conducted to WFI employees in IMS. Sixty Two (62) employees were trained with essentials courses. Sixty Six (66) employees got qualified as Internal Auditors and thirty (30) employees achieved Lead Auditors Certification in all three systems from IRCA Approved Certificate. Preparation is underway to get certified to WFI in all Three System by the first Quarter in 2018.
