Alwatania Products in Baghdad Exhibition

Al-Watania for Industries concluded its successful participation in the 44th Baghdad International Exhibition, launched on Safar 1st, 1439 AH (October 21st, 2017) and which lasted for 10 days. This Exhibition is one of the most important trade exhibitions in the Republic of Iraq and its current session hosted more than 1000 companies from 14 different countries belonging to various industrial and service sectors. Al Watania for Industries’ booth, was well-received by the Iraqi businessmen and investors and prominent figures in the Iraqi community. Those people were introduced to the company’s products and services, and they conducted many negotiations and initial deals, and discussed ways to enhance cooperation for fruitful trade exchange. Al Watania For Industries also received an honorary shield from the Iraqi Economic Council and certificate of appreciation for its outstanding participation. Al Watania for Industries exhibited its complete and integrated collection of packaging products for food and industrial materials such as plastic products, metal containers and closure system (caps). Moreover, its products of building materials, such as red clay bricks with multiple uses and sizes and plastic pipes with international specifications, were exhibited. The participation of Al Watania for Industries in this exhibition was done under the umbrella of the Saudi Pavilion along with 60 prominent Saudi companies. This participation was organized and supervised directly by the Saudi Export Development Authority, which in turn prepared and facilitated the participation in the exhibition. Through its participation in this unique international forum, Al-Watania for Industries attempted to represent the high-quality Saudi products and to discuss ways to increase exports to Iraq in line with the Kingdom’s Vision of 2030 which suggests increasing non-oil Saudi exports and according to the Al Watania for Industries strategic plan of 2021, which aims to bring the company’s revenues up to 4 billion riyals. It is worth mentioning that Al-Watania for Industries is one of the of Sheikh Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi’s AWQAF. It is also considered one of the leading Saudi companies in the field of packaging and building materials and is classified among the top 100 Saudi companies. It is also one of the oldest industrial companies; it has been working in industry for more than four decades. Al Watania for Industries has 10 factories spread in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dubai. Under its new strategic plan of 2021, Al Watania for Industries is seeking to expand its industrial activity and vary its financial income by investing in three new sectors; namely energy and chemical products, healthcare and medical consumables, and machinery and spare parts sectors.
