Riyadh, Monday, December 16, 2019, Al Watania for Industries (WFI) signed joint venture agreement with Mabela Gate United LLC from the Sultanate of Oman to establish the first Egg Tray plant in Oman. This Joint Venture project will be the first project in Sultanate of Oman to produce paper-based Egg Tray to cover entire Sultanate of Oman market as well as the surrounding neighboring countries in the region.
Eng. Ibrahim I. Behairi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Al Watania For Industries (WFI) and Dr. Salim Amer Al Sinaini, the Chief Executive Officer for Mabela Gate United LLC has formalized the signing of the Joint Venture (JV) agreement in the presence of Shaik Fahad Bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, the Vice Chairman of WFI and attendance of the Chief Executive Officer of Khazen Economic City of Oman Engr. Khalid Al Balushi and Omani delegates from The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. The ceremony was held at WFI Head Office in Riyadh.
On this occasion The WFI CEO Engr. Ibrahim I. Behairi stated that, this Joint Venture project targets to produce 35 Million pieces of egg trays per annum in order to cover the needs of the Omani market with local products in addition to export to neighboring countries. He add that, WFI own 80% on this project, also WFI will provide technical knowhow for the project and that because of its long and sold experience in this field. He concluded his statement that the project is expected to be commissioning at the end of the third quarter of the year 2020
