Al Watania for Industries (WFI) and Prince Sultan University (PSU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) initiating meaningful cooperation in the area of research cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of manufacturing and training. The memorandum was signed by WFI’s CEO Eng. Ibrahim I. Behairi and on behalf of PSU the Dean of Engineering College Dr. Abdulhakim Almajid.
The memorandum of understanding includes conducting applied research, exchanging knowledge and practical experiences, developing products, improving manufacturing processes in order to create a competitive advantage with new products, reducing manufacturing costs, and training a number of distinguished engineering students in WFI’s factories.
This memorandum serves to enhance understanding and cooperation in areas of applied research and development of knowledge between higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the leading national companies. Thereby contributing to strengthening the role of these institutions and companies in building a knowledge society, providing job opportunities for youths and college graduates, and achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
